Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

In Burns Commons. This is a flat nearly treeless triangle of land with a view of Lake Michigan and a short walk from Brady Street. Parking will be an issue. There also is nothing to hide you while retrieving the cache. STEALTH is extremely necessary as there are apartments and condos all around this small piece of land.

This is a magnetic key case (with extremely strong magnets - so will be difficult to dislodge) attached to just about the only metal thing in the park. Contains log book and pencil.

When you log your find, please tell me what you think the thing is in the middle of the Commons. I have no idea.

Thanks for caching with us! Try the Millennium Mural (GCMVVT)- it's not too far from this cache.

1925 hrs

Came by after school this afternoon around 1530 hrs. I "knew" where it had to be and even made an attempt to retrieve the cache, but there was too much light and it felt weird attempting "the position" being so exposed to all muggle eyeballs. So after dropping my wife off at the airport tonight I returned. The mood lighting in the commons actually made me less conspicuous where I needed to be. Sure enough, my Mission Impossible stunt training paid off and I was able to retrieve, sign in a secure location, and return the cache without anyone asking me why I had ignored the signs saying the area was closed to preserve the cobblestones. (What sign? Oh, that sign. Sorry; never saw it.) WHAT KIND OF COBBLESTONE NEEDS TO BE PRESERVED FROM FOOT TRAFFIC DURING THE WINTER?!
Please, Milwaukee, get a grip!

TFTC!

St. Nicholas Day: I had to treat myself to some caches. If any part of Milwaukee has a big-city feeling, it is this street, Prospect, with its high-rise apartments, busy busstops, and restful micro-parks, like this one, that are actually used by strollers and bench warmers.

#3009 - Up in Milwaukee from Chicago with Dawn to try for my 3000th find, and swung by here after getting it at the nearby :) Webcam cache. Found the cache quickly, and I guess I would just call it "modern art". Very cool!
