Tree
A little known landmark on the west side of town. Who know's why,
and better yet, why here? But the end result is a fantastic view of
more than just Thom's family!
UPDATED 4/16/06 TO A PROJECTION CACHE WITH A NEW
CONTAINER PLACEMENT!
A fairly short projection cache ending up on a ledge with a
fantastic view looking east. There is a little climbing &
bushwacking involved, but not bad. After all, we sure would not
want to scuff up members of the family tree.
From the above location, which should be rather obvious once you
get there, your mission is to project a waypoint of 515 feet at 321
degrees magnetic. There are a couple ways to do this, one being a
straight forward projection. The other would be a reverse direction
in which you would walk until your gps said 515 feet at 141 degrees
magnetic. That would be the bearing and distance back to Thom's
family from the actual cache location.
Watch the little one's, the first step
off the ledge is a big one.
The fall would not be that bad, but the stop at the bottom would
really hurt!
