This is the second in a series of microcaches designed to draw attention to interesting sculptures or other artwork in public venues, mostly in the Sonoma County region.
Art, it has been said, is defined by (1) intention, (2) design and (3) execution while (4) beauty, obviously, remains in the eyes of the beholder. Each of these sites has been selected on the basis of intention and you are free to comment in your posting on the remaining three elements. Is there anything which strikes you as particularly interesting, unusual or worthy of remark? And, of course, is it art?
The objective of this site -- the "art" in question -- belongs in the salvaged materials classification and is readily visible to the immediate north.
The cache container is a small plastic bottle (similar to a film canister) with the cover attached to a rock and set in the ground. Because this is a public area, a degree of stealth is recommended when retrieving / replacing the cache container.
