This cache is located in a public camping & car park area at the end of the 'Coast Road, north of Karamea. This camping area is at the very start of the Heaphy track.
There are two ways to approach this cache.
- From Collingwood, via the Heaphy Track. Allow 3-5 days each way (Terrain 4+).
- From Karamea via the Kohaihai-Karamea Highway and park next to the cache (Terrain 1).
It is a two litre container, with logbook, pencil and various swaps.
