Big Fella
No excuses for poor GPS signal here. Bit of a hike though. Just keep walking up till you can’t go any further.

How high? Think of the year you first heard “How Will I Know” by Whitney, or when Challenger blew up or Hawthorn beat Carlton in the Grand Final.

At the published coordinates you may notice a pile or rocks. Climb these and head 300 degrees magnetic for 116 metres. Cache is in nook of rock outcrop.

Cache is in smallish screw top container. A bit like what Dick Smith puts his drinking chocolate in.

AP found it : my son (aged 7) and I found this after walking up Staircase Spur. I'm very impressed with Patrick, it took us 7 hours to walk up (1400m altitude gain in 8km). We took it easy, as we had all day to get to the top. We actually got out the magnetic compass to find the cache - first time I've needed to do that. Patrick loved all the lizards, grasshoppers, bugs, and stick insects that we saw on the way to the top. We camped next to the summit cairn under beautiful clear skies. We were disappointed at the swaps, so we left what we hope are some good quality swaps.

Took:
5 x 20cents

Left:
Polished dotted stone
Red wooden train
Tiny black carabiner
Orange aluminium keychain.

A two hour walk in (with two friends from Mount Beauty) from the end of the Granite Flat Track to the summit of Mt Bogong. Found the Cache without difficulty. A beautiful day with only a slight wind.

While on top of Bogong helping with comms for the conquestathon why not do a bit of Gzing. It was 7 PM on saturday night watching the sun go down and an easy find. Interesting to catch up with Forest Boys actually competing in the Run/Walk. Felt a bit guilty I had already grabbed the TB. Will now have to log their Gz in Albury and say gidday to Grandpa.. Thanks
