Geocache Description:

This is a letterbox. The goal is to find the box and trade stamp images - stamp the letterbox's stamp into your journal and leave your signature stamp image in the letterbox's logbook.

The coords take you right to the letterbox (use the directions below if you prefer to find it letterboxing style).

There is parking at N43 26.770 W80 14.847 (#6710 on CR34).
Letterboxing-style directions:
  • The cache is approximately 500 metres from the parking lot.
  • From the parking lot take the trail past the 'Trails Discovery' sign, you will be walking NW approx. 315 degrees.
  • A marsh will be below you on your right. Walk about 150 steps (100 metres) from the trailhead where you'll come to a T-intersection with a trail just ahead of you and down hill.
  • Walk 15 steps to that trail then continue walking NW 315-330 degrees. As you walk you will see forest to your right and to your left through the trees you'll see a farmer's field.
  • After 275 metres the path will start to turn to the right and you will see a smaller path to your left that slopes down towards the farm. Take the small path.
  • Walk approximately 25 steps until you come to a Y-intersection. At the Y-intersection face the farm's "no trespassing" sign. The LB is in a tree to your right (west) approx. 5-6 steps.
  • Replace the LB and cover it up. It's right next to the trail so it's easy to spot if it's not covered up well.

I have placed my hand-carved stamp in each of the boxes. Bring your own ink (Crayola washable markers make great ink tools if you don't have an ink pad). If you carry a letterbox "passport"/journal, use the letterbox's stamp to stamp your passport. If you have a signature stamp, please stamp the log book. If you do not have a stamp, leave a drawing (stick figure drawings and happy faces would be just fine you do not have to be a Picasso or a Da Vinci), or a sticker or a fingerprint or pawprint, or try a nature print using a leaf or flower as a nature stamp, and sign the log. Stamps are cheap at Michael's and scrapbooking stores or make your own with an eraser and an exacto knife. Join the fun!

Please, don't take my stamp!

Not recommended during mosquito season VERY VERY buggy - LOTS OF MOSQUITOS in the summer months. If you go, wear bug spray.

Best times to visit: Fall, Winter, and early Spring
