How Geocaching Works
Park at the trail head for the Ice Age Trail at the Sunburst Ski Hill Area (just outside of Kewaskum.)
The Village of Kewaskum was settled in 1844 and was known as North Bend until 1848. Kewaskum was built on the Milwaukee River where it bends like a horseshoe. There is an interesting marker that gives more information on: 1) Kewaskum is known as the "Gateway to__________________," 2) Kewaskum is named after a local ___________Indian Chief who was known as _________________. 3)Metowani translates into________________________. You do not need to e-mail me the answers, it's for your own enjoyment to learn more about Kewaskum.
If you hunted my caches at the Secrets of Stonehaven Event, you may have seen this cache container before. Does, "Leave No Stone Unturned," ring a bell?
You are hunting a "camo" 35mm film container.
Enjoy your hike along this portion of the Ice Age Trail.
