Geocache Description:

A cache on the Coastal path. Its steep, narrow with steps. Fellow Vertigo sufferers may struggle - but I managed.

HO2

Welcome to a world previously only shared by Acidboy and Birdman, it's an odd world, inspired by an advert on the local radio station, featuring a pirate. Our World involves pretending to be a Pirate or, at a push, a Parrot, and the coastline of Cornwall is the ideal place to pretend to be a pirate.

I'd recommend you do the caches moving from East to West, then names will make lots more sense than doing them the other way round.  There will shortly be a fourth Cache, which will part of the Cornish Quest Series of caches. You'll really need to enter into the Pirate spirit (and maybe a bottle of rum as well!) to finish that one.

If you're not sure if you're cut out for the Pirate life you may like to try the Pirate Personality Test.

In the meantime here's three caches for you to practise on, look out to sea as you walk to them and it's hard not to imagine Pirate ships sailing by... Start chanting pirate sayings and you'll be well on the way.. If you need a hint, try some of these:

  1. Avast there me hearties
  2. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
  3. Tis time for you, scoundrel to walk the plank
  4. Pieces of eight (Parrot!)
  5. Who's a pretty polly
  6. X marks the spot

You may of course prefer to sing... in which case, some sea shanties would be good, or tunes from The Pirates of Penzance may fit the bill.

Cap'n J says....

OK Pirates - This is a tough one - Its a steep climb from the village, you may wish to top up on Ice Cream before you start your trek. Parking is in the Car Park at the Top of Polperro and then it's a pleasant walk through the village and up the footpath past the Church.
