A small screw top cache containing usual bits and pieces including note book and pencils.
Cache is located near an 18.3m high structure near the end of a 13.5 km natural stone formation. This area is known for its population of Southern Brown Skinks and bird life. A pair of Little Egrets (A migratory straggler to NZ) were roosting in the sole tree when I placed this cache.
The structure was first used in 1862 and decommissioned in 1982. It is still used if needed for back up to the new installation on the reclaimation.

The walk is rough going so wear sensible footwear. It took me 1 hour each way boulder hopping but if you respect your knees and ankles you may wish to take up to 2 hours each way.
