Salmon Creek State Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This old homestead off of Salmon Creek Road is now part of a State Park. It is completely wild, yet right on the side of 101. After placing the cache, I went exploring the old road that eventually leads down to the south fork of the Eel river. I passed an old garage and shed, and saw some deer. Then I went about a half mile down the road before coming to an impassible part overgrown with poison oak. Right before that, however, the road had about a dozen scats that were the territorial signs of a mountain lion, probably a male. It made me look over my shoulder a lot on the way back!
There is a cash reward for the FTF. There is some poison oak around the cache, so be careful.
