usakiwi: No telling when the TDC will finish cleaning up their mess. If and when the work is finished, the location is a great place for another cache.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located in a very small little known reserve south of Richmond.

This is an offset cache

The reserve is the final resting place of a highly respected early pioneer who started the settlement of Ranzau. In later years he became his native country's Consul General to New Zealand.

The cache site is 23 metres, 240 degrees South from the top of the stone.

The cache is a 400ml camo-painted container. It initially contained a log book, pencil, one 'signature' item and numerous trading items.
