German: Die Rote Wand am Siechenberg bei Vacha Dezimeterstarke,
bankige Sandsteine wechseln mit dünnschichtigen Lagen rotbraunen
Ton- und Schluffsteins. Große Stromgeflechte transportierten den
Sand heran. Teilweise konnten sich flache Wasserbecken entwickeln,
was sich an häufigen Rippelmarken auf Schichtflächen zeigt. Das
Profil gehört in die Volpriehausen-Folge des Mittleren
Buntsandsteins. Der ehemalige Steinbruch lieferte wertvollen
Bau-Sandstein, u.a. zur Errichtung der benachbarten Werra-Brücke.
Zum Loggen ist ein Foto des Finders mit GPS-Gerät vor der "Roten
Wand" nötig, außerdem muss folgende Frage beantwortet werden (bitte
nicht im Log, sondern per Mail an mich über das Profil): Vor
wieviel Millionen Jahren erfolgten die Ablagerungen?
Ihr dürft nach Versenden der Mail gerne loggen - sollte etwas

English: The "Rote Wand" ("red wall") at the Siechenberg/Vacha
Decimetre thick sandstones change with very thin layers of
red-brown clay and silt stone. Large networks transported the sand
near. The profile belongs into the "Volpriehausen-Folge" of the
middle bunter. The former quarry supplied valuable building sand
stone, among other things for the establishment of the neighbouring
bridge. To log this cache you'll have to take a picture from
yourself with a GPSr in your hand in front of the "red wall"! And
you have to answer the following question (by eMail via my profile,
please don't use the log for the answer ...!): How many years ago
the deposit took place?
