A grab and go cache, if you wish, near the end of Alpine road at the Lake Trail trailhead.
Reception was only fair but this shouldn't be difficult to spot. The cache, a farily small container, is right at the Lake Trail trailhead (not prominantly marked) which is not far from where Alpine Road ends. Look for a "1 acre lot for sale" sign (hope it doesn't sell soon). Parking is limited but shouldn't be a problem. Lake Trail is part of the Portola Valley Town trail system which is loaded with caches. By the way, the lake is at N37 20.862, W 122 12.231 if you hike up the trail. The Coalmine Ridge View cache (GCN7H0) is not too far beyond the lake and worth a visit for the nice surprise recreational apparatus.
