Geocache Description:

A small cache in a great park in San Jose.

The first word my older son said when he began to talk was "Daddy". The second word he could say was "Duck". When the kids were little, we often came to this park. One day I was pushing my son in his stroller through this park and he pointed at the pond and said "Daddy Duck"!

We aren't quite sure if he was trying to point the ducks out to me, or if he was warning me to mind my head, but we count this as his first sentence. To celebrate my first year of caching (and finally getting around to hiding caches!), I wanted to place a cache in this park. Unfortunately, there aren't many good spots for anything but a micro near the ducks. But I did find this site in the park which just seemed tailor-made for a cache.

The container is a medium-sized spice jar. Be stealthy as you can be seen from many directions and the park can be crowded at times. If you replace the container just right, it is not visible.

Be sure to visit the nearby Chinese Cultural Garden. Park hours are 10am to sunset.
