Geocache Description:

When I hiked out to find all the caches in the north end of Pleasanton Ridge a few months ago, I discovered that there was a big loop of trail that was still cache-less! Now I have remedied that. Be prepared for a long hike, though.

This cache is placed near the Shady Creek and North Ridge trail junction. There's actually a water fountain there, so you can refill your supply if necessary (at N 37° 39.650 W 121° 55.991). Please don't bet your life on there always being water here, but I've never seen it out of commission.

You're looking for a decon container (roughly 4x3x2 inches) hanging in a tree. Anyone who can hike out this far should have no difficulty with the tiny bit of tree climbing necessary to reach the cache. (Seriously, calling it tree climbing is an overstatement.) The container was placed with only a log book and stubby pencil, so you might be better off bringing your own pen to write with.

Enjoy the view, and be on the lookout for the stampeding flock of sheep that caught me by surprise while I was up there.
