Snake & Rooster: This was one of our favorites, but a fence was erected after we had placed the cache, which made it awkward, and perhaps suspicious to grab the cache. It is likely not in keeping with the new Groundspeak guideline, so we have decided to archive it. We will, however, see if we can find a suitable spot for a replacement. Thanks to everyone who found the cache.

Geocache Description:

A trip to Gollum's secret cache of gold

"Sssssss" "What isss it, my preciousss?" "Dirrrrrty nassssty cachhhhhher." "What's it got in itssss pocketsesss?"

Gollum died. He fell to his death in Mordor after stealing back from Frodo,"my precioussss", Sauron's ring of power, and in the process, bit off the finger of the only creature who had shown him any compassion in over 600 years. But Gollum had another cache of valuables that he managed to keep hidden from that thieving hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. The coordinates above are to the entrance to Gollum's secret lair. Should you undertake this quest, you will find Gollum's gold somewhere in his secret lair. Take a flashlight. It is strongly recommended that you take a backup light and a caching partner with you.

Do you have the courage of the fellowship? Are you willing to risk life and limb in the pursuit of Gollum's gold? Before you accept the challenge, be aware that the lair you enter may have all kinds of nasty creatures within. Orcs? Trolls? Wargs? Perhaps. Rats? Spiders? Snakes? More likely.

Due to the surrounding environment, please ensure that the cache is closed tightly when you leave. Please be careful when removing the cache from its anchor, and replacing it, to ensure that you do not damage the cache or anchor for the next victim.
