A bumpy dirt road, which should be no problem to most moderate clearance vehicles, with careful driving. The elevation is just over 6,000 feet so winter is out.

I have been coming to this area for years to collect obsidian. This area is the Needles collection area. Stop the Davis Creek store to pick up your free use permit, and then head up the hill to log this cache, and collect some treasure.

Park at the diggings, it’s a steep hike to the cache, but I needed to get it away from the mugglers.

We actually found this cache last summer and wrote in log book found in cache, but we forgot to log online. We found some nice needles and great pieces of variegated red and black obsidian chunks.

Nice hike up the hill. We had to be "Stealthy" because there were 6 vehicles parked at the needle mine. Found the cache. Great view from here of DC.
