Easy access off major roads. Park within 150 feet of cache. A little creepy and isolated.
Put on your Indiana Jones hat and explore this doomed Temple of Justice, built by the great and noble people of Santa Clara County. They suddenly abandoned the site in 1999. Legend has it that the inhabitants were driven off by simple forms of fungi known as black mildew or toxic mold. Come explore the remains of their not-so-ancient civilization! Look to the West and you'll see the modular units now used for Superior Court.
The waypoint brings you to the main entrance of the building. You'll need the following information, found by exploring just a little bit:
District Attorney's address = ABCDE
Probation Dept. closes at this hour = F
Total number of days building has been open since June 1, 1999 = G
Cache location:
W 37.04.EFG
N 121.36.BDC
Cache original contents: Rare Earth magnet; 2 flashy LED rings; beads;(finger)Nail Art kit; Big Rubber stamp; note pad. Cache is a cylindrical, aprox 5" x 7". Please be sure to secure cache to mounting bracket when you're done.
My kids said the location was creepy. No discernible health or safety risk, just a little weird.
Keep in mind that there may be a lot of law enforcement traffic depending upon the time of day, so step lively and act like you know where you're going.
