Dieser Cache führt zur Quelle der malerischen Kuhfluchtfälle bei Farchant, Nähe Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Aber was hatte die Kuh hier zu suchen und wieso ist sie geflohen? Man muss davon ausgehen, dass sie leider nie oben war, um das Schauspiel zu genießen. Vermutlich zeichnen die Römer für den Namen verantwortlich und er leitet sich aus dem lateinischen Wort „confluctum“ ab: der Zusammenfluss, nämlich dieses Wassers mit der Loisach.
Nun ja, ob man nun eine Kuh trifft oder nicht, der Weg lohnt sich trotzdem, allerdings nicht für Fußfaule. Der Cache erfordert eine mindestens 1-stündige Wanderung, ca. 80 % davon steil nach oben. Der Vorteil: Der Weg ist größtenteils schattig und deshalb auch Hochsommer-geeignet. Außerdem wird man mit einem Naturschauspiel und tollen Aussichtspunkten belohnt. Um diese genießen zu können, sollte man etwas mehr Zeit mitbringen als das Minimum, das erforderlich ist, um den Cache zu heben. Hinweis: Etwa 180 m, bevor man den Cache erreicht, biegt der rot markierte Weg nach links ab, siehe Foto "Abzweigung / Junction" und Waypoint. Man sieht einen Stumpf und einen Baum mit jeweils einem roten Pfeil. Rechts vom Baum mit dem roten Pfeil führt ein mit grünen Punkten markierter Pfad geradeaus und direkt zum Cache.
Geht ein paar Schritte, dann seht Ihr den Pfad.
Zur Sicherheit: Der Weg zum Cache führt ausschließlich über markierte Bergwege. Bitte nicht querfeldein versuchen! Das Gelände ist dafür ungeeignet. Der Cache befindet sich wenige Meter vom Weg entfernt in sicherem Gelände – bitte keine Kletterausflüge versuchen!
Noch ein Tipp: Die besten Fotos bekommt man an einem Sonnentag und einer Startzeit nicht später als 11 Uhr. Ein Fernglas ist empfehlenswert.
Der Anfang des Weges ist gemütlich. An einigen Bäumen sind Rätseltafeln angebracht. Ein Stück weiter befindet sich eine Sprunggrube, genannt „Tierweitsprung“. Beides ist ganz lustig anzuschauen. Dahinter beginnt der Anstieg.
Eine freie Fläche voller Steinmanderl zeigt: Das Ziel ist erreicht. Von hier ist der Blick frei auf die größte Quelle, die in der Gegend zu finden ist.
Noch etwas: Uns wurde berichtet, dass Zecken unterwegs sein können. Lange Hosen sind daher empfehlenswert.

But what was the cow doing here and why has she escaped? Well, it seems she has never been to that place to enjoy the spectacle. Presumably the Romans are responsible for the name and it origins from the Latin word “confluctum”: confluence, namely of this water and the river Loisach.
Cow or no cow – the trail is worth to go in any case, however not for lazy feet. It requires not less than a 1-hour walking, about 80 % of it on a steep path. The advantage: For the most part hiking is shadowy and therefore midsummer convenient. Besides you will be rewarded by a nature spectacle and by picturesque views. To enjoy all of this, we recommend spending more time than just the minimum required to hunt the cache. Hint: About 180 m before you reach the cache, the read-marked path turns left, see photo "Abzweigung / Junction" and waypoint. You see a stump and a tree both marked with a red arrow. Right of the tree with the red arrow a green-marked trail goes straight ahead and leads directly to the cache. Walk a few meters and you will see the path.
For your safety: Stay on the marked mountain trail. Don’t tramp cross-country! It is neither necessary nor adequate. The cache is located only a few meters away from the trail in a safe terrain. Don’t try rock climbing!
One more hint: You will get the most brilliant photos on a sunny day and if you start earlier than 11 a. m. We recommend binoculars.
In the beginning the trail is very comfortable. You will find some brain-teasers at several trees. A little further, there is a pit named “Tierweitsprung” (animal long jump). Have a look at them. Behind this, the step-up starts.
A treeless area full of “stonies” will tell you: You have reached the goal. Now you can enjoy the giant spring view.
Additional info: As reported to us there could be ticks. Wearing long pants is therefore recommended!
