Geocache Description:

This is a roadside cache in a small Click Lock box.

IMPORTANT – For safety sake NO CLIMBING OR SCRAMBLING OVER ROCKS INVOLVED. Be careful if grass is wet as the low roadside bank can be very slippery. Free parking adjacent to cache.

You are now in Britain’s biggest Gorge. Nearby are the caves where the oldest complete skeleton was found (9000 years old). Towering above you are the dramatic spires of the cliffs known as The Pinnacles. Keep your eyes open for Peregrine falcons floating overhead or nesting on the cliff face and wild Soay sheep (or are they goats?) either in the road or grazing the steep banks.

GPS reception is weak near the cache site & seems to vary depending on the weather. When I averaged co-ord, GPS accuracy was 10m. I suggest you take a copy of hint with you to avoid an abortive search. Cache placed with kind permission of the National Trust and Natural England.
