Academy of Arts across the street.
The Korean War and Vietnam Memorials honor all Hawaii Patriots who
died in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Dedicated on July 24, 1994,
The memorial is a serpentine wall nearly 100 feet in length, 6 feet
high and made of polished, black granite capped with lava rocks.
Constructed of one foot square pedestals, this allows friends or
relatives to place flowers or mementos on them. Each pedestal bears
the engraved names of the 768 service members honored (454 from the
Korean War and 312 from the Vietnam War).
