Knapp of Reeds Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

nctreker: Great spot but hard to keep a cache here that doesn't walk or wash away. I'll have to put some thought into how to reintroduce this spot with another cache.

Geocache Description:

Park at N 36 09.813 W78 46.199 and follow the trail. This is one of my favorite hikes in the area. The forest is beautiful and tranquil. The cache is located on Knapp of Reeds Creek near an old mill dam built by James Veasey in 1781. The remants can still be seen in the area. Enjoy climbing on the rocks or sit and soak up the peace and quiet.

You will be walking through archery only gamelands, so wear blaze orange during hunting season or seek the cache on Sundays.
