Welcome to Pittsville, the exact geographic center of the state of Wisconsin. In the early 1950's, then-governor Walter J. Kohler Jr. made frequent visits to the area. On June 27, 1952, he officially proclaimed Pittsville the "exact center" of the state. Professional land surveyors located the exact point. You are searching for the marker that tells of this spot.
