Wildcat Mountain in Pinkham Notch has 5 named summits higher than 4000 feet. This cache is near the summit of Wildcat E.
THE COORDINATES ARE NOT FOR THE CACHE LOCATION!!!
The coordinates are for an interpretive sign for the Appalachian Trail. You will be walking along the Appalachian Trail to the cache site. This trail is also called the Wildcat Ridge Trail. You could get to the sign by the Wildcat Ridge Trail, the Polecat Ski Trail or in summer by the Wildcat Mountain Gondola (fee). From the sign you will have to find the Happy Hiker Letterbox (See www.atlasquest.com and search on Pinkham Notch, NH.) The cache is 10 paces further into the woods from the Happy Hiker Letterbox. Please do not remove the Happy Hiker stamp from the Letterbox. It is to remain there so other Letterboxers can stamp their books.
After you find the Letterbox and the Geocache, hike the other way on the trail to Wildcat D where there is a platform with excellent views in all directions. Under the platform there is a benchmark you can log. Then return to the Polecat Ski Trail. A short way down that trail you will find the Wildcat Mountain Letterbox.
