This area can only be accessed from 8AM to 4PM any day, except Thanksgiving and Christmas. When attaining permission this was the only requirement to allowing geocaching here. Visitors are welcome here when the area is open so you may need to exercise some stealth.
Parking is located at N 43 28.509 W 71 10.733. Osprey have been seen here. Also, it is reported that bald eagles frequent this are in the fall and winter.
It is an easy walk to the cache location, but please use caution with small children as there are some dropoffs. Bring the kids along though, they are sure to enjoy the sights (you may even want to have a quarter or two handy). There is also a picnic table close by.
The original cache container was a purple waterproof capsule that came with our 6 year old star’s snorkel set. A new container was donated by 121 Tech Team, it is a small pint sized container. There is a log sheet and pencil and pencil sharpener (please leave in cache) inside and there is room for small trade items about the size of a gumball. Please tread lightly around the cache site, the vegetation is somewhat fragile. After logging your visit, you may want to continue on the trail and enjoy a lovely jaunt through the woods.
