How Geocaching Works
Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center is west of Ashland, WI, just off Highway 2. Gates close at 5:15 pm.
Located on County G, just off Highway 2 a few miles west of Ashland, WI. This is a great place to stop with the whole family. They have clean restrooms and admission is free. There is so much to do here: interactive exhibits, 5 story observation tower, boardwalk and interpretive trail, to name a few. The building itself is something to see, as it resembles a Lake Superior lighthouse. Climb to the top for a view of the Lake.
This cache is an ammo box, with Travel Bugs, log book, and magnets for 1st, 2nd and 3rd finders. Since this is a Travel Bug Hotel, please only leave travel bugs here. A good policy to follow is to only take a bug if you have one to leave.
