CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED
COORDINATES!
This cache is intended to honor those CA Cachers that are truly
committed to this ideal. All one has to do to claim this Mystery
Cache is to log a cache in every
California County and post your finds as shown below. Sounds
simple enough?! California is the greatest state in the union, so
go see it!

Team Geo-Rangers accomplished this feat on August 5th, 2005. Now
it's your turn to "geo-range!"
Log all 58 county finds, then email Team Geo-Rangers your list,
and we will email you the exact coordinates of the final cache to
find. The California DeLorme Challenge (GCHANH) helps with the
Northern California Counties!

There is a cache and logbook hidden in Riverside County but not
at the posted coordinates. The exact coordinates will be emailed to
the geocacher whose 58 county caches have been verified. Credit for
this cache may only occur upon finding the final CA Mystery
Cache!
Other Rules:
- You do not need to do the exact same caches as Team Geo-Rangers
with the exception of the last Mystery physical cache "Logging
California's 58 Counties" in Riverside County. You can not claim
credit for just this one physical cache in Riverside County without
finding caches in all 58 counties.
- One can not claim one's own cache for any county.
- Found Cache types may be traditional cache(C), Multi-cache (M),
Mystery (Mys), LetterBox (LB), Earth (E), Virtual (V), and
Locationless/Reverse (L/R) with extra credit and bragging rights
for at least one of each!
- Post in County alphabetical order per the cache
description.
- Incomplete postings logged as finds will be deleted! Each
cacher is allowed to post a note with those found and add to the
SAME NOTE over time until logging 58, thus converting the note into
a find after finding the final mystery cache. This is highly
encouraged! Chit chat type posts will remain for a brief time but
may be deleted to keep the focus on the CA race to 58
(+1)!
Excel helps compile finds for posting; please share your
favorite cache in each CA county!
With your note, one may wish to include the CA map generated by
ITSNOTABOUTTHENUMBERS.
Good Luck - YOU MAY NEED IT!

November 8 by patnanz (5043 found) We first found out about this cache 2 years ago,we said it would be fun to try this someday. We found caches in the last county in March '08. After returned home before we could get the coordinates to this cache. jkruegel who we cache with often and is a good friend got all the counties after we did and said he would not go for this cache till we did.....We went for this caches together.
It took a little time to work out how to get to the cache, read past logs, checked satellite photos, drove around the area of the caches. We tried one way and turned back and came at it a different way. Thank you for placing this cache and thank you jkruegel for for waiting for us to find this cache.(he passed by this cache 2 times waiting for a time that we could get it at the same time) This was our 5000th Cache
[view this log] | November 7 by jkruegel (1690 found) Well after about a 1 1/2 years of chasing this one, it is finally over. I feel a deep sense of pride and accompleshment when we found the final cache. I am also sad to see it done, but I have moved on and am trying to complete several of the Delorme Challeges. I am thankful to you for doing this challenge and to Patnanz for starting me in this fun adventure. They also kept me going when time and money was tight. I was very happy to pick up this cache with them and it felt only right that I waited for them. Thanks again for the adventure and hope to run into you and anyone else who continues to challlenge the Geocaching community.

[view this log] | October 19 by CKayaks (2317 found) 7:42 am Down in the area after doing a three day trip on the Mojave Road. (Needles to Barstow roughly.) Great fun on a 4x4 trip with a bunch of caching friends. We spent the night nearby and headed out early to pick up the final. Probably the most difficult cache in some ways of the whole adventure. It was the jungle that I had heard about. It also appeared to be prime ant season. They covered all the plants and were swarming the ground. I ended up picking them off of me the rest of the day as we drove home to San Jose. Thankfully it did not take long to locate the cache itself. Quickly signed the log and traded TB items. Thank you for a wondeful adventure! I surely would not have visited some of the places I did if it had not been for this cache challenge. Had a great time and plan on going back for more visits to many of the areas.
[view this log] | September 20 by kwvers! (14287 found) Yippee!! We awoke real early this morning in order to beat the heat and allow as much time as necessary to find this cache which will be our 14,000th find. We brought all our gear: long sleeve shirts, change of clothes, gloves, walking sticks, bug spray, etc. The conditions were much better than others have faced due to the lack or rain. We encountered a little mud. Once we got to gz the real challenge began. We discovered that we were in the middle of an eight foot ant bed...All we could do was search for the cache, sign the log, click a few pictures and run..We started our quest to complete this challenge while at Geo Woodstock 6. The Lost Clan had told The Fat Cats who told us about this challenge. A year ago after our vacation we made a point of getting a few more counties and for the last year have had 16 counties left. We plotted a course to pickup caches in the remaining counties during the last three weeks of our vacation. What a Blast! We too have learned that California is huge! We saw elk, turkeys, deer, quail, mountains, rivers, poison oak, foxtails, high mountains and a dry desert. The scenery of our state is amazing! We passed hundreds of caches to complete this challenge and hope to return and find them all. Thanks again and again for motivating us to get out and live the adventure!
