Tämä kätkö sijaitsee Sumiaisissa, kauniin Matilanvirran läheisyydessä.
This cache is placed in the municipality of Sumiainen and nearby beautiful Matila current.
Voit jättää autosi parkkipaikalle N62°45.531, E25°56.480 tai lähestyessäsi kätköä Keiteleeltä tai Päijänteeltä veneellä, voit jättää veneen lähes varsinaisen kätkön koordinaatteihin.
Parkkipaikan vieressä toimii touko-syyskuussa kesäravintola. Lisäksi satamassa on veneilijöille polttoainejakelu, sähköpistokkeet ja jätekeräyspiste. Rannalla on myös nuotiopaikka. Matilanvirta on tunnettu keskeisenä maihinnousupaikkana jo 1500-luvulla. Vuodesta 1889 lähtien nykyisen kahvilan kohdalla virta ylitettiin kapulalossin avulla. Kapulalossi vaihtui moottorikäyttöiseen 1960-luvun alussa ja Matilanvirran silta valmistui 1966 korvaten lossikyydin. (Lähde (visit link)
Varsinainen kätkö sijaitsee koordinaateissa N62°45.517, E025°56.399, kyseessä on pienehkö purkki, joka sisältää lyijykynän, teroittimen, lokikirjan sekä infokirjeen löytäjälle suomeksi ja englanniksi sekä muutamia vaihdettavia tavaroita.
Ravintolan henkilökuntaa on informoitu kätköstä, joten heidän takiaan ei tarvitse olla salamyhkäinen.
There’s a parking area in N62°45.531, E25°56.480 or if you approach the cache by boat, you can leave the geoboat in coordinates of actual cache.
Nearby the parking there’s a restaurant that’s open during summer (may-september). In the marina there are fuel, electricity and refuse collection for boaters and also a place you can make a fire. Matila current was a known landing place already back in 1500 century. There was a manual ferry (=kapulalossi?) from year 1889 to early 1960’s. The bridge was finished in 1966. (Ref. (visit link)
The coordinates of the actual cache are N62°45.517, E025°56.399. It’s a small jar that includes a pencil, a pencil sharpener, a logbook and a note to finder in Finnish and in English and some replaceable objects.
The personnel of the café has been informed about the cache so no need to secretive action because of them.
