Lake Massabesic has been Manchester NH's water supply for the last 120 years. It serves water to approximately 125,000 people in Manchester and 6 surrounding communities.
Lake Massabesic is a name derived from the Indians meaning
"the place of much water". It has a surface area of about 2,500 acres and a gross storage capacity of nearly 15 billion gallons.
I hope all who go for this cache takes the scenic route and understands how important this place is.
