Are you up to the Challenge?

Come join us for the Fourth Annual Georgia Geocachers Association Challenge Event! This year's Challenge is likely to be the best ever! We've a new location, acres and acres of good caching area (to include hydrocaching areas) and a motivated, experienced, and crafty crew!

The Challenge is being held this year at Dauset Trails Nature Center near Jackson, Georgia on October 8th. There will be food, camaraderie, fun, games, and of course, caches! We will be playing a variation of Scrabble® Scramble that will test your caching and spelling skills.

Cost per GPSr will be $10.00 to offset the cost of food, drink and sundry. Please post a note or "will attend" and let us know if you intend to participate and how many people will be in your party.

Schedule of Events
10:00 AM -- Check-In Begins -- At the Pavilion.
12:00 Noon -- Lunch -- burgers & hotdogs cooked on the grill.
12:30 to 1:00 PM -- Start -- cachers begin to head out.
** Three hour time limit on finding the caches. **
4:00 PM -- Event Ends -- all cachers must be back.
4:30 PM -- Prizes awarded and general chat.

Breaking News: Camping on site will be available the evening before the event (no setup before 6pm). Tent camping only, no pop-ups or RVs. Facilities include hot and cold running water and a primitive shower at the shelter. If you're interested in camping at the event location, please contact Rebel. If your camping style requires a pop-up or RV, Indian Springs State Park is right nearby.

This will be a day of good fun, good food, and good caches. Mark your calendars as you won't want to miss this one!

Small added note: To facilitate loading cache coords into GPSrs that have a dataport we plan to have a laptop available with the coords loaded as an EasyGPS file. You should bring your own data cable, though, as we may not have one for your GPS.
