There aren’t very many puzzle caches on this side of the hill when compared to the “other” side, so a puzzle seemed in order. I hadn’t seen a word find puzzle cache, so decided to create one. It’s really not very difficult to solve, but it’s easy to make mistakes. There's nothing subtle or hidden in this description, either. Special thanx go to Rogue Ramblers for assistance with the puzzle.
Using the Big Word Find Puzzle, solve for NN NN.NNN WWW WW.WWW (excluding decimal points) to find the cache. There are two ways to solve for West coordinates, making for a means to verify solve methodology, and to increase difficulty. Make sure you find all nineteen of the hidden words, or you could end up puzzled in a big way.
The cache is located on a narrow, winding, 1-lane mountain road, resting peacefully among the sempervirons. The road is popular for walkers (with canine friends, too), joggers, and cyclists, and also runs alongside a popular cache creek. Muggle traffic is high and will sneak up on you quickly. Be aware of vehicular traffic at all times (you’ll hear it coming in the distance), and keep an eye on children and pets. If the neighbors above spot you, they’ll only expect you to wave and say “hi.”
GPSr coverage at the cache site is poor, with best EPE observed at 49’. Oh yeah, this is Santa Cruz County, so that kinda goes with the territory.
Container is a 10+qt camo’d tupperware-like container (thank you, Martha Stewart), which also fell victim to a failed “flexible paint” experiment. There’s not really a specific theme, but as it’s a word find puzzle, Word Find and jigsaw puzzles will be found as trade items. FTF prize is a Santa Cruz County geocoin.
FTF congratulations to, ironically enough, Sgt Stitches, for whose challenge this cache was placed!
