Battery Ledyard is one of the three remaining Batteries on Angel Island. It has a great view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, as long as it isn't too foggy. From this location you can also see the old fog bell at Point Knox. You will need to bring a flashlight and you must go inside to find it. Please bring a pen to sign the log. Cache is a black metal waterproof pill case with a magnet. When replacing the cache please make sure that the magnet is attached to the magnet which is attached to a nail to keep it off the ground and out of sight. I placed this cache here 18 years ago. I calculated the coordinates from above so they should be accurate. The best way to approach the battery is from a trail on the north side. The beginning of the trail is shady and is near a square sign that says Camp Reynolds West Garrison.
