The Contoocook River needed another cache to boat to. This is located in Penacook New Hampshire.This is a Cache that you need to boat to as the embankment is steep and you cannot get there by land without going on people’s property. Although I tried to find one where you did not have to get out of the boat, I could not find anything you could boat up to… so you will need to at least stand up and take 1-2 steps on land. (I hope it is high enough to survive next springs floods.)
You can rent a kayak/canoe at the Contoocook River Canoe Company to get to this cache and 3 others that are 2 and 3 miles up river from this one.
This is a wonderful river to kayak or canoe. When placing this cache today, I saw turtles, hawks, birds, water snake, heron, etc.
Snow mobiles have used the river in winter, keep in mind moving river water is much harder to freeze.
For FTF there is a $1.00 bill (sorry gave all my money to the Red Cross this week). Otherwise, the Cache contains a number of various key chains.
UPDATE NOVEMBER 5 2005
Tried to find Keys to the Kayak today during a 13 mile kayak trip. I did not have the coordinates with me, but did not see the cache. We have had tremendous flooding this last month and I suspect it has washed away. I replaced it with a smaller micro that I tied to the roots until next spring. It has a sign in log.
The old coordinates are:

So if you are snow mobile or boating and want to see if I was looking in the wrong spot. Let me know
