A walk at the Northern end of the Hakarimata range to some 600 year old Kauri trees and excellent views on a nice day.
DOC publish some useful info about the Kauri walk here but their quoted walking times seem to be overstated. We did it much faster than that with our 7 yo wandering along.
It is interesting in reading the logs to note that a lot of people have been posting the time it took them from carpark to GZ at the top of the hill. Just for fun these are:
