A good hike or ride to the top of Caverly Mountain.
There are many trails (both foot and off-road) that lead to the top
of Caverly Mountain all of which offer a fantastic view of the
White Mountains, Merrymeeting Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee. One
parking area is located at 43 31.081 - 071 08.036 on the King's
Highway, a foot trail starts from there and the overall distance is
a little over 3 miles round trip. Another trail in is from the
Devil's Cache. I have seen pictures of heavy
duty 4-wheel drive vehicles at the top, but I enjoy the hike.
There can be quite a bit of activity at the top so please be
discreet. Enjoy the view.
