Geocache Description:

A short walk, on pavements suitable for wheelchairs and buggy.

There is only one small section of the OLD MEDIEVAL WALL left now which originally surrounded the old city of Medieval Perth. This is to be found behind the Red Brig in the Horsecross area of Perth, opposite the new Concert Hall, a MAGNET for classical music lovers. But to others just a BLACK spot amongst the old Georgian architecture. The the new Hall stands on the original site of Perth Castle, just outside the City Walls, and if you look on the pavement in front of the Red Brig you see two rows of grey paving stones, this is where the original draw-bridged entrance into the city was. To the LEFT and below the city wall you can see part of the Lade, which runs under the centre of Perth.

Extensive archeological excavations have been done in the area, and many artifacts found are housed in the Museum (just to the right of the Concert Hall).

Attatched to the OLD WALL on the LEFT are the FLOOD GATES, part of Perths Flood Defence.

The Co-ords may get thrown out a bit due to the high buildings, but use your brains, the clues are there!

Happy hunting, and remember that this one is a 5 star difficulty.

Thank you to FindingDory for the idea for this cache.
