The cache was placed with permission in a picturesque rural valley east of Nelson. You can drive to the cache site.
The cache site is adjacent to the property of an individual who has spent his adult life helping others to appreciate our treasured inheritance of historic architecture and buildings. The name of the cache has a significance.
From the cache site you can view his home that was built in 1848 and on another building the porch and doorway of the Nelson Provincial Building that was built in 1859 and so tragically demolished.
The cache is a 700ml camo-painted screw top container. It initially contained a log book, pencil, one 'signature' item and numerous trading items.
