On a nature trail at Laudholm Farm
This cache is in the Estuarine Research Reserve at Laudholm Farm in Wells, Maine. The Reserve has 7 miles of nature trails in the coastal marsh, barrier beach, woods, and fields. A great place to visit. No pets or smoking are allowed. Open year round, the trails offer snowshoeing and X-country skiing in the winter, and walks the rest of the year. You can ski right next to the ocean waves if you hit the tide right. In the summer you’ll have to pay to park and use the trails. Don’t forget to visit the Gift Shop. The cache is located on the Pilger Trail, on a Trail section where it has emerged from the woods and runs parallel to a field.
Rick and I (CarlGurt), The Two Reprobates, found our original cache had gone missing. Working hard to recover from the shock, we replaced the cache, this time protecting it with various Druid curses. These apparently worked so well that not only is the replacement cache being protected, but the original cache was turned into the Laudholm Farm office. The Laudholm Farm people returned it to its home. We've moved the replacement to a new place at Laudholm, calling it Laudholm Farm Cache II (original, yes?). Find both caches!
