Geocache Description:

This is a beautiful, old forest in Wilton, NH. It is part of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. Parking can be found at the kiosk(N42.47.870 W071.48.232). To save gas by not getting lost on back roads, you should take Rte 101 to Rte 31S(go about 2 miles), take right onto King Brook Rd, left onto Kimball Hill Rd, right onto Heald Rd.

Heald Tract is part of over 900 acres of old forest and ponds. It is a wonderful, serene place to enjoy many aspects of nature. The difficulty rating is based solely on the tree cover which may cause problems with your GPS reading. Park near the kiosk and walk down the road about .10 miles to the yellow trail markers. You will follow the yellow trail markers the entire way. Part of the trail is overgrown but you can still make out the path. There is absolutely no reason to bushwhack or get off the trail to find the cache. It is well hidden in a naturally made spot. The area can be quite wet at times. Wooden platforms have been put along the trail in spots where there could be some flooding. Plan accordingly.
