Geocache Description:

Typical VT hiking trail: well marked but lots of roots and rocks, so watch your step. Also, some cliffs so watch your kids and less bright dogs...

Everything in this cache is red but you'll need to walk a bit to get there, thus Red Rover - get it? Original contents were a red stapler, red Mr. Incredible pencil, red whistle, red Bendi Santa, red fire truck, red legos, and a red finger puppet. Let's try to stick with the theme.

Park at N44 24.023, W73 14.231. Trail enters towards the lake. This is my favorite trails as it winds along the shoreline. It should be about 30-40 minute walk, mostly easy with one steepish climb about 15 minutes in (head up hill when the trail forks). You'll be rewarded with some nice lookouts, the nicest one has a great view of Shelburne Bay and is not far from the cache.
Carefull though, its a long way down!

You can keep to the trail until the last .02 miles or so.
