Canada Del Oro Trail Switchbacks Traditional Cache

Out for a little cache retrieval exercise today. Did the loop from Casa Loma Trailhead > Serpentine Loop (now Little Llagas Creek Trail?) > Canada del Oro Cut-off > Bald Peaks > Catamount > Longwall Canyon > Casa Loma Entrance. 7.7 miles, 1742’ ascent.

Serpentine and the Cut-off trail were tick heaven! I stopped counting after picking off 25. Once I got on the higher trails, the little vampires dropped off and I only saw a few more up on Bald Peak. Beautiful day in the park otherwise. Had the place to myself until the last mile when I saw a gentleman on horseback.

Pulling my caches on the route. Archiving everything in my inventory as time allows. Too many hassles and too much whining from cachers. Verbal abuse in email and logs. Finds logged when they did not visit and sign. People celebrating the king of fake logs with events! And GS not providing any support when the CO tries to enforce the quality of his caches. Done.

My suggestions for anyone that has concerns with this approach:
* Help clean up the game by raising your concerns with Groundspeak. Let them know that bad behavior by players, cheating, allowing false finds, and such has degraded the game.
* Do the same with the cachers involved. Politely hold them accountable. Publicly, in some cases, if need be.

Geocache Description:

A decon container next to the trail in Calero County Park. No need to even step off.
Please rehide the cache carefully!

The trail name is deceiving. This cache is located along one of the trails in Calero County Park, not the nearby Rancho Canada Del Oro Preserve.

See those squiggly lines on the trail map? Yup, that is where this one is! Take a break from the climb and enjoy finding the cache. It should be easy.
