Geocache Description:

A small log only container on a bridge. Bring your own pencil

I went past this spot on my way to the "On the line" and "River Daydreams" caches. This place was one of the prettiest places I’ve seen. The fall foliage was near peak. And the water coming over the manmade dam was just right. But the most interesting part is the construction of the dam. The dam structure is made of hemlock logs cut and locked together like "lincoln logs". With field stones used as fill. The original dam was built near 1800. The micro itself is more than 100 feet away from the dam, as it is frowned upon to place a cache on a National Historic site. The micro is winter and handicap accessible,
