Das
Riesenrad
Das Riesenrad wurde 1897
errichtet und überragt seit damals, mit seinen fast 65 Metern
Gesamthöhe, die Dächer von Wien. Es handelt sich dabei um ein
großes Stahlrad, das sich um seine eigene Achse dreht. Im Radkranz
sind an kleineren Achsen, Waggons aufgehängt, in denen man
mitfahren kann. Oben angekommen hat man dann einen schönen Blick
über die Stadt Wien. Es ist auch möglich Waggons für besondere
Anlässe stundenweise zu mieten. (Siehe

Erreichbarkeit
Das Gebiet erreichst du
gut mit der U1 Praterstern.
Auch Radwege sind
vorhanden.
Autofahrer sollten auf
die Parkraumbewirtschaftung
achten.
Der
Cache
Ist eine kleine Dose, die nicht
direkt beim Riesenrad - aber in Sichtweite versteckt ist - da es
dort zu vermuggelt ist. Um den Cache zu heben, musst du nicht mit
dem Riesenrad mitfahren, aber ich würde es trotzdem jedem
empfehlen, damit eine Runde zu drehen.
The Ferris
Wheel
The Ferris Wheel was erected in
1897. With its total height of nearly 65 meters it overlooks the
roofs of Vienna since that time. It is a huge steel wheel which
turns around its own axle. In the rim of the wheel - on smaller
axles - there are wagons, in which you can have a ride. Once you
reach the top you can enjoy a fabulous view over the city of
Vienna. It is also possible to rent certain wagons by the hour for
special events

Well reachable by subway
U1 Praterstern.
Can be reached
well on bicycle tracks.
If you come by car,
please pay attention to the parking policy (Parkraumbewirtschaftung).
The
cache
It is a small box. It is not
exactly at the Ferris Wheel because of too many muggles around
– but it is within the area where you can see the Ferris
Wheel. There is no need to ride the Ferris Wheel to find the cache,
but I would certainly recommend it for the fun of it.
