Geocache Description:

This is a flat location that is fairly well isolated. I tried to camo the hide. It is a medium side vitamin jar. I think it held 150 vitamins. Container is 6 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter.

i recently had to move it slightly

Also, just since there is a pen in the cach and it seams many people are brining their own I stuck one to a Magnet and put it on the power box... However be warned this pen HAS NO RELIVANCE to the actual Hide. There is a pen there... This is just a spair so I don't pick up so many on my evening dog walks...

Update:
there has been a lot of trampeling of the ivy due to this type of hide. so I have moved it so it is just less than a foot of the path... Please be kind and not tromp.. you may crush it... trust your hands more than your feet or eyes....

Old Coords N 37° 25.552 W 121° 54.639

Years ago this was the only theater in town. In fact it was the first movie house in Milpitas. However, When AMC moved into town and opened a 10 screen Cineplex this two screen theatre just could not compete. However it did reopen as a discount theatre a few times charging as little as $0.99 per movie. Later when Century opened a 25 screen Megaplex at the Great Mall, AMC turned tail and closed. Then the 10 screen Cineplex was opened as a discount theatre and this location closed for good… Or did it? The 10 screen cinema savers closed in late summer 2005 due to new construction of a Safeway store in the Milpitas Town Center. Current signs say that the owners plan to try a shot at reopening this location.

The Serra Center was one of the first shopping centers in Milpitas. The original anchor store here was Safeway. Since the 70’s it has been Liquor barn, McFrugals, and now Big Lots. The other stores have come and gone as well. Older stores are; The Key Factory is a Key and Locksmith shop that has been in town for a while. I love to stop and talk to Brian the owner. He loves to talk about the history of Milpitas. The barber shop and Simas Jewlers and H&R Block have all been there for over 30 years.

The truly sad part of this center is that it is in a great location, with easy access; however, it is falling apart and mostly vacant. Time has moved on and this building has not. Funny thing is many people dive right by and never even take note.

My brother has memories of sneaking in the back door in the 70’s and I remember taking a firlfriend here in the 90’s.

The Coords should be right on…However, with trees and buildings…. May make it hard to get signal….

Listed as 24 hours but the lights go out at about 1 or 2 am depending on the time of year...

This would be a hard find for me durring the day... When I put it down at night... I blinked and could not see it... So you may want to try durring the day...
