Our favorite Wachusett Reservoir trail. Park on the road by cemetery--please obey the No Parking signs on one side of the road. The trail can be accessed through the cemetery or the MDC gate, but not from the shore of the reservoir. Sunrise to sunset hours apply to both the cemetery and the reservoir. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed on reservoir land. Keep young children near you, the high bank is high! Watch for muggles watching the sun set, it's a popular spot for locals.
If you'd like to make it into a bit more of a hike: After you leave the cache location, continue north along the fire road--the trail will bring you back out to the road at coordinates N 42 21.389 W 71 44.283. If you see activity at #21 (raking, planting, shoveling, etc.), you're welcome to stop in for a cup of coffee and geocaching conversation.
