Geocache Description:

The object of this geocache is to solve the 2 trigonometry puzzles to complete the triangle ABC, and so find the cache hidden at point C.

All co-ordinates on the *Trigonometry Trail* are 36° South and 174° East. Point A is the initial waypoint at which you will find a number. Take care, there are several to choose from, but it is patently obvious which one to use. Place this number in the diagram on the right (not to scale) to determine the co-ordinates of Point B.
	At Point B there is a small clear container in which you will find the values for theta and x. These will enable you to find the cache at Point C using the diagram on the left (not to scale but orientation is correct), the information you already have and your GPSr. It is not necessary to calculate location co-ordinates for point C.

Although these calculations assume a flat surface (Euclidian or plane geometry), rather than a curved globe, the distances involved here are too small for any correction to be required given the typical GPS accuracy. If your trigonometry is a bit rusty, you may like to have a brush up here. The cache is a 1L clear container with some swap items and log book.
