Saw this lovely Union Point Park on the way to another cache and knew we had to place a cache here. The container is a micro magnetic with a log. Please bring a pencil.
The cache is in a lovely park near the Brooklyn Basin in Oakland Estuary. The park has commemorative artwork, sculptural structures, a playground for the kids, picnic tables, beautiful lawns, and lovely landscaping. The cache is placed in the park, near some picnic tables, but not on them. The Google map will not help you, as the aerials were taken before this park was placed here. Bring a snack or coffee to provide the necessary distraction. Get comfy, enjoy the sights in the marina nearby. The cache is not visible from some angles, so you will have to do some searching. It is not under the foliage, dirt, rocks, leaves or shrubs. This area is wheelchair accessible, but the placement may not be. Congratulations to clu5150 on FTF!! Cache on!
