Deva Fortress - Cetatea Devei Traditional Geocache
ho4587: Today I was looking for the cache and found that it disappeared again.
Seems that there are too many muggels here.
Maybe I will look for a better place and reactivate the cache sometime later.

A cache with a very nice view over Deva
This is my second cache to hide in Romania. It is located near Deva Fortress ("Cetatea Devei").
Deva Fortress was built in the year 1250. In the year 1849 it was destroyed by an explosion and is now a ruin. From there you have a very nice view over the complete town and over river Mures. If you ever come to Deva it is a must to climb the fortress hill.
I have hidden the cache not directly in the fortress, because since they finished the "telecabina" the fortress is full of muggles. The cache is located directly at the footway from Deva to the fortress, so when the weather is nice you also have to be aware of muggles a little bit.
You have two possibilities to go there:
- The first one is to go up with the new built "telecabina". The price for going up and down is about 40 RON (ca. 1,15 Euro). To find the cache you have to look for the footway down to Deva directly at the upper station and in about 5 minutes you will arrive at the cache location.
- The second one is to go up by foot or by car from Deva. The nearest place to leave your car is: N 45 53.291, E 022 53.681, it is only 5 minutes to go up to find the cache.
The box is a 35mm film canister.
