If you come in from the Skyline Boulevard entrance, the Skyline
Trail passes through groves of douglas fir, a meadow with great
spring wildflowers that borders a private horse pasture, and some
very big madrones. Then suddenly the trail comes out of the trees
and passes through a small tangle of manzanita shrubs. The cache is
hidden right next to the trail, reachable without leaving the
trail. Reception was pretty good here.
The closest park entrance is off of Skyline Blvd. There is
limited parking (for about 3 - 4 cars) on the west side of
Skyline Blvd at an entrance to El Corte de Madera Open Space marked
as CM04. Coordinates for this parking are listed below. Walk across
Skyline Blvd to the clearly marked Wunderlich Park entrance.
Cache is camo'ed plastic container.
Park hours are 8am to sunset. Please respect Park hours and
cache only during those times.
Standard Park notices apply; there are mountain lions, snakes,
ticks, and poison oak in this park. Be prepared.
