Geocache Description:

Another quick stop and grab...........

THE CONSPIRACY CONTINUES TO BUILD....................

A little history: Aloft23 is a cacher from Mount Pleasant that Buffalo Scout introduced to caching in May 2004 and he has since gone nuts. He is a cache animal that found 800 in his first year of hunting. Aloft is obsessed with the 50 mile circle around his home coordinates and aggressively grabs every cache that shows up in the circle. His computer is programmed to check for new caches every five minutes. just like Outlook checks for e-mail. Buffalo Scout and friends mdthquist, Sportracker, Team 9-1-1, and CloudBuster conspired to place and find privately before posting publicly on geocaching.com 4 caches around Aloft's mystical 50 mile circle. We wanted them to be as far apart as possible so we put them at bearings (from Aloft's home) of 90, 180, 270, and 360 degrees. They were all approved at the same time and hit the airwaves simultaneously.

The original 4 caches on Aloft's Circle are:

GCNMB8 Almost Hangin Around 2 (is 90 degrees on Aloft's Circle)
GCNMBK Hangin Around 3 (is 180 degrees on Aloft's Circle)
GCNMG9 Hangin Around Loft (is 270 degrees on Aloft's Circle)
GCNMFZ Hangin Around A (is 360 degrees on Aloft's Circle)

Then with the help of the above conspirators and the additional assistance from SquirrelGPS and mtquaks there was eight more caches placed on the circle!! They where placed at thirty degree intervals around the circle and as close to 50 miles away as possible. This was quite a challenge 'cause normally you find a real neat spot for a cache, place it and shoot the coordinates. With this scheme we have the coordinates, go to that place and try to find a good spot for a cache. This was a lot of fun for those of us that set this up for the cache animal to go round and round chasing his tail around Aloft's Circle. All eight of these were approved and hit the web on the same day, in the same hour and we are sure the alarms on Aloft's computer were going haywire that day. So with these 8 caches and the first four caches Aloft's Circle had 12 caches on it and it was expected that Aloft would probably be the only one to capture them all, cause he is the Cache Animal and the rest of us are just normal cachers enjoying his antics.

This second round of 8 caches where:

Aloft's Circle 30 by mdthquist GCP4AZ
Aloft's Circle 60 by Team 9-1-1 GCP1R3
Aloft's Circle 120 by Team 9-1-1 GCP1RJ
Aloft's Circle 150 by mtquaks GCP4B0
Aloft's Circle 210 by SquirrelGPS GCP4AP
Aloft's Circle 240 by Buffalo Scout GCP4BYAloft's Circle 300 by Buffalo Scout GCP4BQ
Aloft's Circle 330 by Buffalo Scout GCP4AA

NOW with the help of the above conspirators and the additional assistance from Yamahammer and Thatsit there is now another twelve caches placed on the circle!!!

They where placed at fifteen degree intervals around the circle and as close to 50 miles away as possible. These twelve cache placings was again a challenge, possibly even a bigger challenge than the last eight.

Again, this was a lot of fun for those of us that set this up for the cache animal. This time we really are expecting him to go round and round chasing his tail and creating new words that none of us has probably ever heard before while making his third trip around Aloft's Circle. All twelve of these were approved and hit the web on the same day as the original ones did. This time we are really expecting Aloft's computer to just burn slap dab up. So with these 12 new caches, the last 8 and the first four, it will give Aloft's Circle a total of 24 caches on it. As we mentioned before, it was expected that Aloft would probably be the only one to capture them all and thus far that has held true. Some other cachers are close but only the Cache Animal himself has all of the first 12. Now though with these additional 12 caches this gives everyone else a new challenge to take away that title from the Cache Animal himself and get out there and get all 24 caches before he does it again. We all will continue to just sit back and enjoy his antics as always.

This third round of caches are:

Aloft's Circle 15 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 45 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 75 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 105 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 135 by Yamahammer
Aloft's Circle 165 by Yamahammer
Aloft's Circle 195 by Buffalo Scout
Aloft's Circle 225 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 255 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 285 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 315 by Thatsit
Aloft's Circle 345 by Thatsit

Again, permission was given by the private property owner for this one even though it is just off the road. You can park and grab it. And again, the challenge here is finding the proper roads to get to the area it is located. The cache is a small Lock-N-Lock container, with a logbook, pencil and some goodies. Of coarse as always, please put the cache back just as you found it so that the next person may enjoy their find. Thanks and have fun.
